The Mandalay Canal is a hidden gem in the DFW area that was inspired by the world travels of Ben H. Carpenter (https://lascolinas.org/remembering-ben-carpenter/) whom created Las Colinas. You'll find gondolas, a monorail, Italian themed architecture, and more all along this canal.
This particular spot is located on the South side of the canal and leads to a bridge that would lead to the clocktower.
A few free parking spaces are located on the bridge on Mandalay Drive. Four 2-hour parking spots are located in front of Subz n Stuff (Which has the best subs in DFW, be sure to eat there!). There is also a parking garage, but it is not free.
A license is required and can be obtained at the website listed.
