Las Colinas Flower Clock
Inspired by flower clocks in Europe, Ben Carpenter had the idea to create this large working clock with flowers as the watch face on the corner of O'Connor Road and the John Carpenter Freeway access road. It was constructed in 1981 and has been meticulously decorated and maintained ever since. During Christmas, lights are added to illuminate the clock and the name "Las Colinas" at night.
